Hello! A couple of months ago, I (Jamie Smith) took over this site from its creator, Brad. We both have a passion for nonprofit organizations that offer help for those in our community.
This site is designed to be a sort of “clearinghouse” of information for nonprofits. I’ve kept the Twitter site (@NWACares) very active but have not done much with the web side of things.
I want to get things going so if you are a leader of a NWA nonprofit organization, please contact me at jamie@nwacares.com (or you can just go to the Contact page on this site). Please do not leave it as a comment to this posting.
I can set up nonprofit leaders with their own sign in, or I can post events and happenings for you too. I do ask that you give me at LEAST one day’s notice to get your event posted so that others can see it.
When the site was transferred, we lost all background and other posts from nonprofits. It would be great if nonprofit leaders could post or send me a short background on their organization: what it serves, website info, etc.
I’m also working on getting the @NWACares Twitter feed to post on this page. Once something is posted from here, it is set up to automatically tweet as well.
Please let me know if there’s anything I can do and I appreciate everyone’s patience as I’ve taken longer to get this site going.
