I'm willing to give away the domain name and the site content thus far if someone would like to take it over and continue operating it as a community resource. If no one comes forward by the end of this month, then I'll go ahead and shut it down.

I created this web site when Wendi and I owned a Northwest Arkansas home care company. Even when we owned that company I did not maintain this site as well as I should have. I recruited contributors to help me, but every site needs someone to provide editorial overview and keep everyone on-task. I was always too busy and preoccupied to do so, first by the home care company and then after by my next professional endeavors (first private consulting and then next working for Collective Bias.)

Perhaps the greatest sin in social media is allowing a site to lie fallow. Thus, something has to change with nwaCares. I’m willing to give away the domain name and the site content thus far if someone would like to take it over and continue operating it as a community resource. If no one comes forward by the end of this month, then I’ll go ahead and shut it down.

I still think that Northwest Arkansas needs an online resource to coordinate event notifications from non-profits. I just can’t be the one to provide it now. If you’re interested in maybe taking over the site, leave a comment on this post.

Brad
